New Measures for Vehicle Circulation in Mexico City

The Hoy No Circula Program establishes measures applicable to vehicle circulation, with the aim of preventing, minimizing, and controlling pollutant emissions. In order to standardize and minimize impacts in the Megalopolis, Mexico City, and the State of Mexico, this measure was established to limit the circulation of private vehicles regardless of the origin of the plates and/or registration.

Vehicles that cannot circulate this Tuesday include those with pink stickers, license plate endings 7 and 8, verification hologram 1 and 2, holograms 0 and 00, electric and hybrid vehicles, vehicles driven by health personnel, motorcycles, and cars with disability plates.

The Hoy No Circula schedule is in effect from 05:00 hours to 22:00 hours. It is important to note that failing to comply with the program's rules may result in a fine ranging from 2,075 pesos to 3,112 pesos.

The only day when the Hoy No Circula does not apply to any vehicle is Sunday, a day that is excluded from all types of restrictions. The only exception to this rule is when the Environmental Commission of the Megalopolis dictates both the suspension of the program and a double Hoy No Circula.
